Even though I think it’s best to view Star Trek in a Doylist way because of its anachronisms such as 60s sexism in the 23rd century & the shows being “of the times, progressive”, I still painfully eye rolled at Tilly and Stamets automatically assuming Michael is into Ash. I know, I know. You can tell™ when someone likes someone, but to me, it came off as far too heteronormative for the 23rd century, even if she did. They don’t once question if she’s gay when she denies it. It bugged me a little.
